Whenever someone asks me “who are the realtors around here?” I think they expect me to only say my own name, lol. But that’s not really helpful, is it?
So here’s the honest answer. A real list of where the REALTORS® in the Susquehanna Valley actually are, plus how to narrow it down to the one who fits you.
Quick answer: Local REALTORS® in the Susquehanna Valley work through brokerages like Bowen Agency Realtors, Coldwell Banker Penn One Real Estate, CENTURY 21 Mertz & Associates, and Iron Valley Real Estate Mid Penn, among others. Many belong to the Central Susquehanna Valley Board of REALTORS®, which covers Snyder, Union, Northumberland, Columbia, and Montour counties. You can find and verify individual agents through the NAR directory and Pennsylvania’s PALS license search.
Why a “list” only gets you halfway
You don’t need a list of every agent. You need a short list of the right ones.
There are hundreds of licensed agents across our five counties. Some sell a few homes a year on the side. Some run large teams. Some focus on farms and land, some on rentals, some on relocation. A list tells you who exists. It can’t tell you who’s right for your move.

This isn’t every brokerage in the area. National brands like RE/MAX and Howard Hanna also have agents across central PA, and there are plenty of strong independent agents too. Google Maps is a great way to find offices in your exact town.
The local REALTOR® board
The Central Susquehanna Valley Board of REALTORS® in Danville is the local association for our five counties. It runs member programs and local events, and its site has helpful consumer reads like 7 reasons to work with a REALTOR®. Statewide, the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® connects all the local boards.
Directories to search individual agents
- PALS: official PA license lookup
- NAR REALTOR® directory: confirms REALTOR® membership
- Realtor.com agent finder: reviews and sales activity
- Google Maps: local agents with reviews and recent posts

How to narrow your list to one
Match them to your situation
Moving up into more house? Relocating in for a new role at Bucknell, Susquehanna University, or Geisinger? Selling here and heading somewhere warmer? Buying a second property? Ask each agent how much of their business looks like yours.
Match them to your town
Selinsgrove and Shamokin Dam, Lewisburg and Mifflinburg, Sunbury and Northumberland, Middleburg and the rest of Snyder County… pick someone who’s actually in your area each week.
Interview two or three
Same questions to each. Compare answers, not personalities. (Okay… personalities a little. You’ll be texting this person a lot.)
What nobody tells you
Every agent on the list can access the same homes. The listings are shared through the MLS. What’s different is the person: how they negotiate, how they price, how fast they move, and whether they tell you the truth when it’s not what you want to hear.
I don’t believe in choosing an agent off a billboard. Choose the person who listens best.
