My name is Stephanie Smego, a REALTOR® with Iron Valley Real Estate Mid Penn. I primarily work in and around Snyder, Union, and Northumberland counties from our office at 1018 N. Susquehanna Trail in Selinsgrove.
I’m not originally from here. My husband Michael and I moved to the Susquehanna Valley from New Jersey. Through some trials and tribulations, we found ourselves here serving in a ministry for addictions and desperately searching for a different way of life — and we found it. So when buyers tell me they’re relocating to Central PA and want to know what life is actually like here, I completely understand it. I’ve lived it.
My husband Mike owns Smego Construction Company and works as a general contractor who specializes in new home construction and extensive home remodels. Who am I kidding if I say that wasn’t a huge part of why I got into real estate in the first place — I wanted to work side by side with my husband in the same industry. His background also means when I walk through a home with you, I can flag what’s a real issue versus what just looks scary. We have our hands full with three boys here at home, so I know what families look for in a school district, a backyard, a family friendly Friday-night-out radius.
I hold three certifications that matter for clients:

Although this phrase is often overused by the millennial generation, I am genuinely fueled by coffee. I also run a minimum of 5 miles every single day, and unwind with my children and my husband in the evenings. I’ve also started some Facebook communities for moms in this area called Busy Susquehanna Valley Moms, plus a new women-owned-business group — so if you’re new to the area and want to meet people, I can point you in the right direction.
My business is built on one thing: people’s stories and determination. Not only do I love hearing your stories, but I become absolutely determined to help you write the next chapter.
