So when somebody tells me they’re moving here and asks what it’s really like? I don’t guess, and I don’t hand them the brochure version. I lived that leap. I know exactly what it feels like to bet everything on a place and have it love you right back.

And real talk — I didn’t fall into real estate by accident. My husband Mike owns Smego Construction Company. He’s a general contractor, builds new homes, does the big gut-it-to-the-studs remodels. Who am I kidding pretending that wasn’t half the reason I got my license? I wanted to work right next to my husband, in his world.

Turns out that’s kind of a cheat code for you. When Mike and I walk a house with you, I can tell you what’s an actual problem and what just looks scary. That crack? cosmetic, relax. That “little thing” the listing kind of glossed over? yeah… we need to talk about that one.

We’ve got our hands full with three boys at home, so I’m not theorizing about what families need — I’m living it, usually with a coffee in one hand. The right school district. A backyard that’s worth the mortgage. A Friday-night-out radius that doesn’t need a babysitter and a full tank of gas. I get it, because it’s my life too.

And I’ll say the thing I always say: I don’t believe in renting. Not because there’s a single thing wrong with you if you’re renting right now — but because every month of rent is you building somebody else’s wealth instead of your own. I want to see local families build something that’s actually theirs. That’s the whole thing. That’s why I do this.

Off the clock? I’m genuinely fueled by coffee (yes, I know, very millennial of me), I run at least five miles every single day, and my favorite hours are the loud, ordinary evenings with my boys and Mike. I also started a couple local Facebook groups — Busy Susquehanna Valley Moms and a new women-owned-business one — because I’m a women-supporting-women girl to my core, and because moving somewhere new is so much easier when someone just hands you a community. Here’s what it all comes down to for me: people’s stories, and people’s determination. I genuinely love hearing yours… and then I get a little obsessed with helping you write the next chapter. When you call, you get me. Not an assistant. Not a call center. just me, and a plan that fits what you’re actually trying to do.

I work all over Snyder, Union, and Northumberland — Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, Sunbury, Shamokin Dam, Middleburg, Mifflinburg, Milton, and Northumberland borough.
